Newark Woman Arrested for Growing Pot in House
Newark Police have arrested a 57-year-old Newark woman for growing pot in her house.
Judith McDonald’s neighbors complained about a smell coming from her house. So Wednesday, police executed a search warrant; they found 51 marijuana plants and 91 grams of cultivated marijuana in her basement. Officers also seized grow lights, fans, a ventilation system and a watering system.
McDonald was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and other offenses. She was released after posting $7,000 bail.
