DNREC Warns Hunters on Bringing Bounty to DE from Other States
DNREC is warning hunters who might plan to hunt in Pennsylvania’s Adams and York counties, restrictions will apply if you bring your bounty back to Delaware because of the detection recently of chronic wasting disease. Regulations passed in 2008 ban the importing of high-risk parts – like the brain, spin and lymph nodes from deer harvested where chronic wasting disease has been found. The other regulation requires Delaware residents to notify the Division of Fish & Wildlife if a deer they harvest out of state tests positive for the disease.
