JPMorgan Chase to Award $160,000 in Grants to Goodwill & Homeless Planning Council
Alongside Delaware Senator Tom Carper, JPMorgan Chase on Tuesday will present two Delaware organizations with grants totaling $160,000 to fund job training and housing initiatives for Delaware’s servicemembers and veterans.
The Veterans’ Jobs Source & Financial Empowerment Initiative, through Goodwill of Delaware, will support 300 veterans and/or members of their families in need of employment. The grant will help provide direct one-on-one job search assistance and provide 100 low-to moderate earning veterans with a personal financial coach dedicated to helping them improve their overall financial health and reach their goals.
There are nearly 300 homeless veterans in Delaware; 17 of whom are living on the street and have an increased risk for mortality.
