UPDATED NOVEMBER 27 BY ANDREW KOCH: Delaware State Police have arrested two people in connection with a shooting last week in Milton.
Troopers arrested 22-year-old Mark Phillips of Greenwood yesterday in connection with the shooting of a 23-year-old Milton man on November 18. 24-year-old Teveya Brittingham of Lewes turned himself in to troopers the day after the shooting. Troopers say Phillips opened fire on the victim with a handgun during a disagreement over a possible drug deal at a home on Nika Lane.
Phillips has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and by a prohibited person. He’s being held at SCI on $752,500 bond. Brittingham is free on $21,000 bond. 25-year-old Jarrel Flowers of Georgetown was arrested on November 19, and is being held at SCI on $42,000 bond.
State Police have arrested 1 suspect and are looking for 2 others in a shooting near Milton early Sunday morning. During their investigation Police determined that 25 year old Jarrel Flowers of Georgetown was one of the suspects in the shooting of a 23 year old man. Flowers is charged with robbery and several other offenses and is being held at SCI on $42,000 cash bond. Police are still looking for 22 year old Mark Phillips of Greenwood who is wanted for attempted first degree murder and other offenses and 24 year old Teveya Brittingham of Lewes on robbery and weapons charges. State Police were called to Nika Lane near Milton around 1:20 Sunday morning for a 23 year old man who had been shot several times. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what police believe are non-life threatening injuries. Anyone with information on the shooting should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
