Smyrna PD Investigate 2 Shootings in 2 Weeks on Same Road
Smyrna Police have been called to the same road twice in two weeks for two shootings. The most recent was on Wednesday just after 7:30pm on Summer Drive. City Police say a victim was assaulted in his home while answering his front door and was shot with a handgun. A K-9 unit and helicopter search was unsuccessful in finding the suspect. The victim is stable at Kent General Hospital. The first incident occurred just after 3am on November 2 when a man and his neighbor were arguing and the neighbor fired a handgun – hitting the disorderly man in the chest.
