DNREC Fish & Wildlife Now Accepting Entries For Young Hunter Photo Contest

DNREC’s Division of Fish and Wildlife is now accepting pictures of young hunters for its annual hunting photo contest.

The theme for this year is “Carrying on the Tradition.” Residents of all ages can submit up to three pictures per person of young people hunting in Delaware. Adults may be included in the pictures. The pictures must be 8-by-10 paper prints without frames, mats, markings or signatures, or digital photos. Pictures that show illegal harming of wildlife or damage to the environment won’t be accepted.

The contest began on September 1, and entries will be accepted through January 12. The photos will be judged by DNREC staff and pro photographers. The winning picture will be featured in next year’s Delaware Hunting and Trapping Guide. Entry forms can be downloaded from the Division of Fish and Wildlife web or Facebook pages, or can be requested by contacting Amanda Belford. Entries must be postmarked by January 12.
