UPDATE: Pedestrian Hit & Killed by Car in Wilmington Identified
UPDATED STORY: Delaware State Police have identified a pedestrian killed after being struck by a car Thursday afternoon in Wilmington.
Delaware State Police say the incident happened just before 4 p.m. when 48-year-old Barry Flegal of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania attempted to cross Naamans Road; police say he was struck by an Acura TL, driven by 46-year-old David Bernstein of Newark.
Flegal was thrown into the grass median and the Acura came to a controlled stop on the shoulder of the roadway. Flegal was taken to Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Bernstein was not injured.
NO charges have been filed.
