Kent County Sports Complex Still on Track
A new regional sports complex is about 2 years from reality near Frederica. The Kent County Regional Sports Complex took a giant leap forward Wednesday as the Central Delaware Soccer Association signed on to play their games at the complex which will be built off Route 1 in Frederica. The multipurpose facility will house soccer, field hockey and lacrosse – with both indoor and outdoor fields – including a championship lit turf field with a capacity of 1500. 180 construction jobs will be created and over 2000 jobs will be created during tournaments and camps. The 100-acre parcel was donated by Kent County and will host at least 10 major annual sports tournaments annually. The complex will be ready for action in 2014.
