UPDATE: State Suspends License of Wilmington Chiropractor Charged with Burglary, Theft & Peeping

UPDATED STORY by Kelli Steele 11.16.12:  The State Board of Chiropractic voted this week to suspend a Wilmington chiropractor’s license following his arrest last week on burglary and peeping charges.

Newark Police arrested 39-year-old Sean Maas on November 7 after a  passerby reported seeing him crouched near a first-floor window at an apartment on Choate Street. Police found Maas in the area and saw he had women’s lingerie hanging from his waistband, which police say was taken from the apartment of a U of D student.

He was released after posting $8,000 bail.

ORIGINAL STORY:  A Wilmington man was arrested by Newark Police early Wednesday morning after an early morning burglary and peeping tom incident on Choate Street.  A passerby called police when they saw 39 year old Sean Maas crouched near a first-floor window.  Police found Maas in the area and saw he had women’s lingerie hanging from his waistband, which police say was taken from the apartment of a UD student.  Maas tried to run and was tasered after he refused to stop.  He fell to the ground and was arrested – and taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment of scrapes.  He is free on $8000 unsecured bail.
