UPDATED STORY by Kelli Steele 11.16.12: As Delaware State Police continue to investigate the suspicious death two weeks ago of a 25-year-old Clayton man, Jonathan Grioli’s family has organized a benefit for him tonight and a memorial service on Saturday.
Grioli was found dead lying in the middle of Autumn Moon Lane in Magnolia on November 3. The ME says Grioli died from blunt force trauma, but the manner of death has not been determined.
Tonight’s benefit will cover funeral expenses for Grioli; it’s being held at the Willow Run Community Center in Felton starting at 7 o’clock; tickets range from $5 to $10.
Saturday’s memorial service will be held at the Pippin Funeral Home in Camden at 4:30 p.m.
ORIGINAL STORY: Delaware State Police are investigating the suspicious death of a man in Magnolia.
Troopers were called to Autumn Moon Lane near Walnut Shade Road just after 4 o’clock Saturday morning for a report of a man lying in the road. When troopers arrived, they found the man’s body along the side of the road. The body has been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine a cause of death. Troopers aren’t releasing any information about the man’s identity, other than that he was white.
