UPDATE: Gold Alert Still Active for Missing Laurel Man

UPDATED STORY 11.19.12:  Foul play is NOT suspected in the disappearance of 45-year-old Timothy St. Jernquist of Laurel, although he’s been missing for three weeks:

Theresa Barnes is Timothy St. Jernquist’s significant other; they’ve lived together for the past 20 years.

St. Jernquist suffers from bipolar disorder and has been missing since October 30.

UPDATED STORY by Kelli Steele 11.12.12:  Laurel Police today say they’re still searching for a man with bipolar disorder.

Police issued a Gold Alert for 45-year-old Timothy St. Jernquist more than a week ago; he was last seen at his home on West 7th Street on October 30.

St. Jernquist is white, 5-foot-11 and 158 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue UConn shirt, jeans and blue tennis shoes, and may still be in the Laurel area.

Laurel Police sent a dive team out Friday to search Mill Dam where his belt and robe were found; the divers did NOT turn up anything.

If anyone has seen St. Jernquist or knows where he might be, call police at 875.2244.

ORIGINAL STORY:  Laurel Police are looking for a man with bipolar disorder.

Police have issued a Gold Alert for 45-year-old Timothy St. Jernquist. He was last seen at his home on West 7th Street on October 30. Jernquist is white, 5-foot-11 and 158 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue UConn shirt, jeans and blue tennis shoes, and may still be in the Laurel area.

The Gold Alert has been issued because of concern for Jernquist’s safety due to his bipolar condition. Anyone with information about his where he might be is asked to call 9-1-1, the Laurel Police Department at (302) 875-2244, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
