DE Supreme Court Upholds Decision, Pettyjohn to Stay On Ballot
While most of Delmarva was dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the Delaware Supreme Court Tuesday upheld a decision to allow former Georgetown Mayor Brian Pettyjohn as the Republican candidate for the 19th State Senate District in next Tuesday’s General Election.
The Democratic Party filed an appeal after last week’s decision by the Superior Court to allow Pettyjohn’s name on the ballot after former candidate Eric Bodenweiser dropped out of the race after being charged with repeatedly molesting a young boy more than two decades ago.
