UPDATE – 10-15-12 – State Police have identified the driver who was injured in a crash on Route 1 south of I-95 Friday night. Police say 20 year old Michael Sanchez of New Castle remains in stable condition at the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center. For an unknown reason Sanchez lost control of his SUV which skidded to the edge of the roadway and overturned several times – ejecting Sanchez.
ORIGINAL STORY: Delaware State Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the man who was seriously injured in a crash in Christiana late Friday night.
Troopers say around 11:40 Friday night, a white 2002 GMC Yukon SUV with Maryland license plates skidded off of southbound Route 1 just south of I-95 and rolled over several times. The driver wasn’t wearing his seatbelt, and was thrown from the SUV during the crash. He’s in serious condition at Christiana Hospital.
The driver is Hispanic and appears to be in his early 20s. He has the words “Angeline” tattooed on his left arm, “Ellie” on his chest, and a teardrop tattoo under his right eye.
