Out Of The Darkness Walk Raises Over $17K, Counting
Organizers are still calculating the money raised by the first-ever “Out of the Darkness” community walk in Ocean City.
About 200 people walked down the Ocean City Boardwalk from Caroline Street to the Inlet and back on September 29 to raise awareness about mental illness and suicide prevention. The walk was sp0nsored in part by the Jesse Klump Memorial Fund, the Worcester County Health Department and Atlantic General Hospital. The walk was a fundraiser for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and raised more than $17,000.
