A Millsboro resident has been arrested for DUI after allegedly driving his SUV through a field.
A Wicomico County Sheriff’s Deputy says around 2:10 Monday morning, he found a Chevy Trailblazer sitting unattended in a soybean field off Tingle Road in Pittsville after being driven about 150 yards through the field. An empty case of beer and an empty beer can were found inside the SUV.
The deputy found the driver, 21-year-old Trent Hitchens, in the front yard of a house nearby. Hitchens failed field sobriety tests, refused a breathalyzer test, and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, and leaving the scene of an accident. He was released after receiving the citations.
