5 arrested in heroin busts in Laurel

Five people have been arrested after a heroin bust in Laurel.

Delaware State Police arrested five Laurel residents in raids on Trap Pond and Laurel Roads early Friday morning (March 2), capping a months-long investigation into illegal drug sales. David Vasquez, Millard Johnson, Shannon Ferenc, Christina Johnson and Frank Pavlovic have all been charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute. Johnson was also wanted for theft of firearms.

Vasquez, Millard Johnson and Pavlovic are being held on bail at SCI. Ferenc is being held on bail at the Women’s Correctional Institute, while Christina Johnson has been released on $1,000 bail.

Laurel, DE – The Delaware State Police have arrested five people after the culmination of a several month investigation into illegal drug sales from a Laurel home.
 
On Friday March 2nd, the Sussex County Drug Unit, with the assistance of the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, Criminal Investigations Unit, and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team, conducted a series of search warrants on East Trap Pond Road and Laurel Road in Laurel.
 
During the execution of the first search warrant on East Trap Pond Road, Detectives made contact with David Vasquez, Shannon Ferenc, Millard C. Johnson 4th, and Christina S. Johnson who were all taken into custody.  Upon conducting a search of the residence, Detectives located heroin, drug paraphernalia, and over $600.00 in drug proceeds.
 
A search warrant was also conducted at an address on Laurel Road where Frank Pavlovic was contacted and taken into custody.  Detectives located more drug paraphernalia along with a locked safe.
 
Detectives executed a second search warrant on the residence on East Trap Pond Road in order to seize keys that matched the safe.  Detectives were then able to open the safe and locate approximately 19 grams of heroin, 33 Oxycodone pills, and $5,000.00 in suspected drug proceeds.
 
All suspects were charged with the above listed crimes and committed to Department of Corrections with the exception of Christina Johnson who was released on an unsecured bail.
 
Millard Johnson was also wanted out of Troop 4 in Georgetown for Theft of Firearms and other charges stemming from an incident that occurred on Woodland Ferry Road on February 8, 2012.

    LIFE IS ALL ABOUT CHOICES,UNFORTUNATLY THEY HAVE MADE BAD ONES. SOME TIMES WE DON’T RELIZE THAT TODAYS CHOICES ARE TOMORROWS REALITY.I KNOW EACH ONE OF THEM AND THEY ARE GOOD PEOPLE WHO HAVE GOT ON THE WRONG PATH. WHEN WE GET STUCK ON THAT DOWNWARD SPIRAL ITS HARD TO GET OUT. I CANT JUDGE AND NIETHER SHOULD ANY ONE ELSE.AT TIMES WE JUST NEED TO HEAR THAT SOME ONE BELIEVES IN US . AND THAT WE ARE CAPABLE OF GETTING BACK ON THE RIGHT PATH. THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD SOME KIND OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEM WHO HAVE MADE SOMETHING OF THEIR LIFE. SO I PRAY THAT THEY CAN ALL PERSEVERE AND MAKE THEIR LIVES BETTER
